Rigoletto will blow you away!

Musically, this is the scene in Rigoletto that gets me most excited. I love how Verdi captures the urgency of the upcoming storm as a foreboding of what is going to happen to Gilda. It’s a great moment in opera.

By the way, I’m not a big fan of La Donna e mobile but I do understand its function in the opera. Maybe I’ve just heard it too many times!!
