How to Get Shredded (Almost) | My Diet/Training Advice

If you wanna get shredded, it will require patience and discipline, but if I can beat up my inner fat kid and do it, then you can too. I did flexible dieting and "if it fits your macros" but ate as clean as I sanely could. My go to breakfast pre workout carb meal started at 500 calories and slowly dropped to 350, and was mostly carbs, an example would be a smoothie consisting of 1 cup of milk, 1/3 cup oat bran, and 1 cup frozen blueberries (surprisingly delicious). Post workout was 2 scoops of protein isolate in water totalling 400 calories. Then intermittent fasting and fasted walking (part of the walking was already done to and from the gym 1.5 miles one way), then dinner I allowed myself between 800 and 1,000 calories with the focus being whichever kind of meat we felt like cooking that day and sometimes vegetables for sides, but mostly a carb side like potatoes, pasta, rice, beans, tortillas, or bread. If I had trouble sleeping through the hunger I'd have a bite size Butterfinger on the nightstand on my side of the bed, or honey roasted peanuts, or the occasional little debbies pumpkin spice cookie or caramel apple cookie (only 140-150 calories but worth it).
