Colorful Combustion - Adding Colors to Fireworks!

Ever wondered how they make fireworks with so many different colors? Everyone loves fireworks, but they wouldn’t be as exciting if they weren’t so colorful. This week we investigate some of the compounds that are responsible for the amazing colors produced by fireworks. Please DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME! Methanol is extremely flammable and should only be burned under controlled conditions by trained professionals. Furthermore, each of the chemicals used to produce the various colors in this video can be dangerous if handled improperly. Just enjoy this video and the real, professional fireworks.
