Fixing the trim tilt on an outboard motor

In this video I diagnose and fix and outboard trim tilt mechanism. This boat turns out to have a faulty electric motor which is fixed by cleaning the armature and brushes. The commutator bars were not making good contact with the brushes due to the brushes being too gummed up for the springs to push them forward. This video also goes through testing the trim tilt relay as well as the activation switch.
