Acceleration is the rate of change of velocity. it is a vector quantity as it has both magnitude and direction.

it's formula is : v- u / t
where v = initial velocity
and u = final velocity

Initial velocity is from where the object has started moving , and final velocity is to where the object has stopped moving.

It's SI unit is m/s/s
