Hoover Dam reservoir reaches record-low water levels, concerning hydropower supply to SoCal
Amid a prolonged drought in the West, the reservoir created by the Hoover Dam sunk to its lowest level ever last month — and that’s raising concerns about reduced output from the dam’s hydroelectric plant, which sends more than half its power to Southern California. Chip Yost reports for the KTLA 5 News at 10 p.m on July 1, 2021.
