Plenty of Daddy Cornstar to go around in this video. Dad starts the video by talking a little bit about some corn that we planted and how the overall corn crop seems to be growing so far. Then Dad jumped right into the planter. He had to plant around several wet spots and cautions about getting to close to wet spots because he could get stuck and then turns around and gets stuck right after that.

I then jumped into the Hagie STS10 sprayer and went to spraying bean ground. I had a close call with losing a sprayer tip but by the grace of God I was able to find it in the field. I transferred into a new field and explained why farmers do not spray at night.

I got picked up and went to the heated shop to start converting the planter over to beans. I explain the requirements of this process. In the morning I went back to spraying and found a deer antler in the field and explain how they can puncture machinery tires. Here comes the bad news. I went to cross the Missouri crossing that was fixed earlier this spring and the middle of it got washed out. We loaded the dump truck with two loads of old concrete chunks and filled in the Missouri Crossing and it should be good to go for a very long time.

A John Deere mechanic came out to work on the breakaways on the sprayer boom and did not completely get the problem fixed. I highlight a bit of my frustration on working with John Deere and ultimately why we do not run primarily John Deere Equipment. I got ran out of water on the semi trailer so I , loaded everything up took the semi home, and started filling it with water. I will continue spraying.
