Inspiriert vom Psychedelischen Rock der 70er, Punk der 80er bis hin zu Grunge und Stoner Rock der 90er Jahre wurde FAUNSHEAD 2014 vom Amerikaner Matt Norman in Berlin gegründet. Nach anfänglichen Besetzungswechseln fand die Gruppe ihr aktuelles Line Up im Sommer 2015. Die von Matt angeführte Band mit Duarte (Bass) aus Portugal, Francesco (Lead Guitar) aus Italien und Stefan (Drums) aus Österreich kreiert als gut funktionierendes Team einen Sound, der von den lauten Musikgrößen der letzten Dekaden inspiriert ist. Die Proberaum-Jukebox ist bestückt mit Bands wie Siouxsie and the Banshees, Nick Cave, Joy Division, Jimi Hendrix oder auch Queens of the Stone Age.
Zu den erfolgreichen Shows der Band zählen mittlerweile neben deutschlandweiten Auftritten, wie z.B. bei „Rock at Sage“ in Berlin auch Gigs in Österreich, Schweiz, Frankreich und Großbritannien.
Am 28.04.2017 erscheint das Debüt-Album der Band "Can't Dance" auf Bellfire Records.
