Vice President Kamala Harris travels to Guatemala

On the first leg of a 3 day international tour, the Vice President travelled to Guatemala. She left Joint Base Andrews on a Sunday afternoon, however, immediately returned after Air Force Two faced some mechanical issues; their safety wasn't threatened. The Vice President and her entourage then climbed into another Air Force Two plane shortly after. She arrived in Guatemala in the evening and was formally greeted by the Guatemalan Prime Minister.

This marks as the Vice President's first foreign trip (OCONUS). She is expected to meet with the President of Guatemala (Alejandro Giammattei), several groups, then head to Mexico afterwards.
