[R&B GUITAR LESSON] Be Thankful for What You Got - William DeVaughn

This week as I continue posting Jam Session Song tutorials, I’m going to go over a 70’s vibe, Be Thankful for What You Got by William DeVaughn. A lot of people call it Diamond in the Back and attribute the song to Curtis Mayfield, but that’s in error. It’s a “feel good” song that is very soulful and very easy to play. It’s one of my favorite songs to play. It’s essentially a loop. Working on the rhythm for this song will make you stand out and make your audience “feel” something.
