Rustoleum Tub and Tile Bathroom Makeover

Watch as we restore this unloved and outdated bathroom. The tub was extremely chipped and peeling, instead of buying a new tub we used a sander to smooth out the chips and Rustoleum Tub and Tile and a sponge roller to restore the finish. This process took 2 days. Day 1 we applied 2 coats to the tub. Day 2 we applied 2 coats and the tub was fully covered and sealed with caulk.

For the tile we used Killz Oil Based Primer and a roller. We applied 1 coat of the primer to the tiles and walls. We allowed this to cure for 1 day before applying our paint. We used Desert Sand oil based paint in high gloss to paint the walls. 2 coats were applied to withstand the moisture that accumulates in bathrooms.

Tile paint: We used a high gloss pure white oil based paint. We applied 3 coats to fully cover the tiles old color.

Any brand of caulk can be used to seal the project when you are done.
