Welcome to our first international episode!!! We got our bags and flew to New York City to have an all-American food tour. This is a big step for the channel and we hope you enjoy it!
It was the first time anyone of us visited the big apple. And we have to say, what an amazing city! Tons of stuff to do and amazing sights everywhere.
But now, let’s talk about what everyone is waiting for… the food. Join us as we try sandwiches, pizza, burgers, and hot dogs.
Our first stop was Katz's Delicatessen, one of Anthony Bourdain's favorites. We had some pastrami and corned beef sandwiches. They were amazing, the meat melted in our mouths and had a very special taste. The atmosphere of the place was great, very traditional and full of pictures of famous people that had visited the place. If you visit NYC it’s a must if you are a foodie like us.
Then we stopped for some pizza slices at Joe’s Pizza. It’s really a simple place, with a couple of tables, but at the same time it’s cozy. We were surprised of all the celebrities that visited that place before. People like Leonardo DiCaprio, Lenny Kravitz, Bradley Cooper, to name a few. It was a simple yet fulfilling meal.
After that we went to 5 guys to eat some burgers. These burgers are Alonso’s favorites, so we were already expecting something great. It’s cool that they tell you from which farm the potatoes you are eating come from. The burger was just excellent, one of the best we had ever tasted.
Finally, we had some Hot Dogs at Greys Papaya. The place was packed when we got there. We got to tell you, the hot dogs where not that big, but they were very tasty. And after visiting the first three places we were a little bit full… maybe it was a good thing. Another recommendation from the 5 Mexican guys!
