Creality Ender 5 Pro - Video Review
The video review is going to go into more detail than this (sorry that it's 15 minutes) so I'd recommend starting out there.
Starting out with the unboxing, I didn't mention this in the review, but the packaging was expert. It all fit into a reasonably sized box with all the pieces neatly laid out in cut out spots. There is plenty of packing, so everything stays in really good condition. The majority of this is largely put together and, even if this isn't your first time putting a printer together, it's really just a handful of bolts that get screwed into place. The included instructions aren't really even needed... the bottom piece of the base has a good visual instruction set, but definitely use the instructions if needed.
The main reasons to go with the Pro over the original is for the silent 1.1.5 mainboard (uses silent TMC2208 drivers), blue Capricorn (I believe it's using that brand - tighter diameter so there is less wiggle room of the filament for more consistent results), stiffer yellow springs (makes it so your print surface needs to be leveled less and reduces vibrations), and the red metal extruder (compared to the plastic on the regular Ender 5, this puts greater tension on the filament again... more consistent results). This is really a great start for a first time printer because these are largely the upgrades that most people end up doing anyway. Might as well just let the manufacturer do it and reduce any mistakes that could possibly happen.
Overall, this is a great great great first printer or second or third or fourth. I barely needed to do anything out of the box and it's printing beautifully. I'm really excited to add this to my printer roster and can't wait to see how far I can push it! Thanks for reading and watching!
