SOMETIMES I SING WHEN I PLAY THE DRUMS

In this Jazz Drummer Q-Tip of the Week drum lesson, I demonstrate and break down how sometimes I scat when I play the drums. Scatting when I play the drums helps me simulate what it could feel like playing with a real band. I encourage all drummers to incorporate singing into their practicing as scatting and scat singing (and singing bass lines) while playing will inevitably make all drummers better musicians.
