Music Is Motion is a novel real-time camera based system that allows musical performance gestures to be used to control audio effects during live musical performance. Music Is Motion uses a Microsoft Kinect together with high-level gesture parameter extraction algorithms to allow users to quickly and easily map performance gestures to effect parameters. Music Is Motion provides an easy-to-use method to allow performers to control audio effects using gesture.
