In US news and current events today, people across the country called for justice for both Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor. Ahmaud Arbery was shot and killed while jogging in a Georgia neighborhood shortly before his 26th birthday. Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old EMT in Louisville, Kentucky, was shot and killed by police in her own home.

Benjamin Crump, the lawyer representing both Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor’s families, says we need to prioritize the lives of Black women. 'If you ran for Maud, then you need to stand for Bree because Black women's lives matter, too,' Crump said.
