Samurais are as iconic to Feudal Japan as Knights are to medieval Europe and Gunslingers are to Wild West. Known for their ethical code called Bushido, Samurai nobility were the pillars of Japanese civilization as they helped in maintaining peace, morality, and order on the islands.

Samurai itself is a masculine term but it wasn’t so for the lack of female samurais. They just had a different name, Onna-bugeisha and Onna-musha, the lady warriors of Japan.
