Bangladesh RMG Faces EU Market Slowdown Despite May Recovery | Bangladesh RMG | garment secto

May brought some good news for Bangladesh's garment sector. But one better month does not erase a difficult year.
RMG exports to the EU totalled $17.36 billion from July to May, down from $19.71 billion the previous year, a fall of $640 million. Shipments dropped from $1.98 billion in July to $1.34 billion in September, weakening again in February and March.
May offered relief, rising to $1.82 billion from $1.52 billion in April. But stakeholders remain cautious. Germany led EU markets at $409.3 million, followed by Spain at $300.1 million, with France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Nordic markets also recording improvements
