There are many ways to own a Porsche, but it boils down to this: Keep it stock, or modify it. In this video, Nathan Merz compares three early long-wheelbase 911s that each have a unique character. The first is a stock 1971 911S, with its original 2.2-liter flat six; the second is a 1973 911 with a custom-built 3.2-liter flat six; and the third is a 1970 911 with a forward-dated 3.2-liter flat six from a 1984-89 Carrera. Find out what are the pros and cons of each, and which one could be the right type of early 911 for you.
