Part 3 of 3 - 1960/61 Futurama 1 Guitar (Selmar) - Worth a lotta lotta money.
...known as the 'junior' Futurama II Duo. Made in The Czech Republic and marketed in the UK by Selmer circa 1960 -1965, possibly as late as 65. Often and incorrectly described as a Hofner Futurama which of course it isn't. Hofner never made a Futurama guitar, the name Futurama was a "looking to the future" Selma brand name. Selmer also marketed Hofner guitars with the similar name "Colorama" which again was a name from the imagination of Selmers marketing executives.
