TEARING OUT THE FLOORS

Hey guys! Today is day 1 of work on the new house! Now that its the new year, holidays are over, its time to get to WORK! We started by tearing out the carpet and laminate flooring in the rooms to make it ready for the wood floor installer to come and tie in the oak floors with the rest of the house. The bedrooms had been done in laminate and carpet and we want it to all be the same hardwood throughout. We will be refinishing the hardwood floors that are in the rest of the house and staining them a different color, Jacobean we think from Duraseal.

We are also removing the baseboards since we are unsure if we are going to keep them and paint them, sand and stain them or replace them.
