What is meditation ?
If you sit there and try to meditate, it is not going to happen. If you create the necessary atmosphere in your body, mind, emotion and energy, meditation has to blossom.When we say meditation we are referring to Dhyan. What is Dhyan? Or let me use the word meditation because that’s English. When you say meditation, you need to understand this is not something that you can do because you can become meditative.
Raja Yoga meditation is a technique mentioned in the Bhagavad Gita, popularized by Swami Vivekananda in the 19th century. Since then, it has gained popularity and is widely taught around the world to maintain mind stability and sanity. The meditation is named ‘raja’ because the practice aims to impart king-like qualities of confidence, awareness, and independence.Raja yoga, is the royal path of meditation. As a king maintains control over his kingdom, so can we maintain control over our own “kingdom”—the vast territory of the mind. In raja yoga we use our mental powers to realize the Atman through the process of psychological control.

This technique is a spiritual process to know yourself better specially for beginners, and it uses the power of the mind to control the body. It awakens the positive qualities buried within you, enabling better performance, and teaches the importance of silence and introspection.
Meditation is the journey inwards, a journey of self-discovery or, in fact, re-discovery. Meditation is time taken for quiet reflection and silence, away from the hustle and bustle of daily living. Taking time out enables us to come back to a centred place of being. In our modern world, the pace of life is growing ever faster and we are losing touch with our true inner peace and power. When we no longer feel grounded, we can experience ourselves pushed and pulled in many different directions types. It is at this point that we start to experience stress and a feeling of being trapped. Gradually, over time, this feeling leads to illness and disease, as our mental, emotional and physical health is thrown out of balance.
Raja Yoga meditation is a form of meditation that is accessible to people of all backgrounds. It is a meditation without rituals or mantras and can be practised anywhere at any time. Raja Yoga meditation is practised with ‘open eyes', which makes this method of meditation versatile, simple and easy to practice. Meditation is a state of being in that place just beyond every day consciousness, which is where spiritual empowerment begins. Spiritual awareness gives us the power to choose good and positive thoughts over those which are negative and wasteful. We start to respond to situations, rather than just reacting to them. We begin to live with harmony, we create better and happier, healthier relationships and change our lives in a most positive way.

Who can join us :

-have spent time searching for spiritual solutions, and now find something they did not find elsewhere.
-have achieved and gained much in their lives, and come to wonder, "Is that all there is?"
-have experienced difficulty and challenge in their lives and seek extra power to help them.
-have a deep desire to deepen their understanding of, and connection with, the Divine.
-have a wish to use their own energy and good wishes to bring peace to the world and share the sense of well-being and contentment they have found with other souls in the world.

Meditation is practised with the eyes open. There are no postures, physical exercise or breathing exercise. We take our mind beyond the influence of the body. This creates an experience of freedom and deep inner peace. The body automatically relaxes: "mind over matter.” There are no mantras. We learn to make our mind our best friend and harness its power. This brings about newness in the way I think about myself and the world I live in. Involves understanding the 'self' and the 'Supreme Being'
The best way to enhance memory and concentration is to stay in the present. Rajyoga Meditation teaches to be in the present moment and focus on one thing at a time. Focusing on one thing at a time adds value to the work and allows you to get the desired result. If Rajyoga Meditation is practised from a very young age then it helps in enhancing the mind power and helps to excel in multiple areas such as studies, sports, extra curricular activities, etc as it improves the self confidence.
Negative habits get formed in the soul in various stages. Some are carried over birth, some are developed from the home environment, some are developed from the surroundings. Rajyoga Meditation focuses on the core values of the soul i.e. Knowledge, Love, Peace, Happiness, Bliss, Purity and Power. These are all positive values, relaxation techniques retreat and if imbibed in our music lives then it drives out the negativity from within.Improve Personal Relationships with all.
