Tabla Trap Padhant: New-age Vocal Percussion | Hindustani Classical Fusion

This fast paced fusion is all about beats and rhythm! Trap music, one of the most trending forms of Hip Hop, is paired with Padhant, vocal percussion recitation in Hindustani music tradition. This pairing of Trap and Padhant creates a fusion of artistic energies and movement imagery. The ‘Rap’ element of Trap music is replaced with two styles of vocal percussion recitation. Sunil Sunkara does the Kathak style recitation and Anirudh Sharma the Tabla style. Karthik Raman, Arjun Ravi Shankar, Swaminath Jayaraman, Adithya Rajan and Sai Prashanth Harihar lend chorus support. Musical notes and Tabla beats accompany the Padhant.
