In the Season 13 finale of Truly CA, two short films explore the lives and achievements of the differently abled.

In 'Hale', we meet disability rights pioneer Hale Zukas, a Bay Area activist with cerebral palsy who is largely responsible for leading the fight to make public spaces accessible for the disabled. Though his work helped lead to legally-protected accessibility that we now take for granted, like sidewalk dips and BART elevators, it has remained largely unheralded in spite of its far-reaching impact.

In 'A View from the Window,' viewers experience an immersive day in the life at the California School of the Deaf.
