Did This Fix My NESRGB Ghosting Issue?

I've been having weird ghosting issues with my NESRGB modded NES Frontloader. I found a Shmups post from 2017 that mentions a fix that involves some basic soldering.

Did I actually fix my problem? Or did I just waste my time?
