By far, the most breathtaking drive I have ever done in my life is 17 Mile Drive in Pebble Beach. So much so, I did it twice, in a row. The drive is made up of 17 different stops and runs in one major loop. Admission is currently $10.50 per vehicle, which is well worth it. In today’s video, we’re taking you around the entire 17 mile drive loop, while briefly highlighting what each of the 17 stops are. Please note that many of the stops you can’t see exactly from the road.

17 Mile Drive is actually the only way to get into the world famous Pebble Beach. Pebble Beach is known for its golf course, which we’ll talk about in a few, as well as high end car shows and other major events. You can enter onto the road in a few different entrances, any GPS or map service should be able to direct you to one of the gates. Now let’s jump into the 17 stops:

1.) Shepherds Knoll - An elevated view looking down on Monterey Bay
2.)Huckleberry Hill - Features trees & ocean views, with Santa Cruz in the distance
3.)Spanish Bay Beach - The first stop on the water directly. Relatively flat beach with beautiful ocean plants.
4.)The Restless Sea - Section of the beach with big waves crashing onto large rock formations, popular stopping point.
5.) Point Joe - A rocky Beach & lookout point
6.) China Rock - Large rock formations, named after a small Chinese fishing village in the late 1800s
7.) Bird Stock - Section of the beach full of pelicans and other birds. Sea lions and whales sometimes visible
8.)Seal Rock - Places to picnic, walk, hike, or see the famous Gingerbread house up the hill a little bit.
9.)Fanshell Beach Overlook - Popular section of the beach for seals. Here the road comes right up against the water, with the golf course on the left
10.) Cypress Point Lookout - One of the most scenic parts of the drive, this is a great place to watch the sunset with lots of rock formations in the water.
11.) Crocker Grove- Large Monterey Cypress Tree forest, featuring many very old trees
12.) The Lone Cypress- One of the more photographed spots of the drive, one lone tree on a large rock formation overlooking the ocean. This tree has been there since 17 Mile Drive’s founding in 1919
13.) Ghost Trees as Pescadero Point - An area featuring creepy looking trees that overlook the ocean, sometimes known for its large waves
14.) Pebble Beach Visitor Center
15.) Pebble Beach Golf Links - One of the most famous and scenic golf courses in the world. Home to US Open, PGA Championships, Amateur Opens among others..
16.) Pebble Beach Equestrian Center - Guided trails and tours for those who want to take in the drive on horseback.
17.)Ford Meadow - Meadow dedicated in memory of Robert F. Ford, a large donor to the Del Monte Conservancy.

This drive through the golf course, mansions, scenic trees, hills, and coastal views was unbelievable. Being in what seemed like a developed golf course, neighborhood, and beach, we were surprised to come across some deer and other wildlife crossing the road during the drive.
