it was quite the challenge and expense to get Kathi up to Vancouver for these sessions on the train from Seattle, but I felt the world needed to know how great she was, 2 nights live in the studio. Last time I saw her, was when I opened for Bonnie Raitt, in Vancouver, and she made it up for the show, I only saw her for a short visit after the show, Bonnie was disappointed she didn't know she was in the audience, or would have had her up on the stage,. I left a few weeks later for a cruise ship gig through the northwest passage, and heard she passed in September 2012. We toured together so many times throughout Europe, and Canada. She opened so many doors for me, and I'm forever grateful for being her close friend. Kathi was one of our unheralded heroes, She's sang on hundreds of Platinum and gold records,#Ike&tinaturner , #JoeCocker, #LeonRussell, #FreddieKing, The Rolling Stones, Big Brother and Holding Company, Long John Baldry, Sly Stone, and more that I keep finding out day by day. She was one of my dearest friends and I miss her every day. She always gave 200 percent of her soul!!
