Son Gohan is a fictional character in Dragon Ball. Created by Akira Toriyama. The eldest son of Goku and Chi-Chi, the brother of Son Goten, and the first hybrid-Earth Saiyan. He is named after his father's adoptive grandfather: Gohan.

Gohan is an intelligent, shy, and hardworking child, but a child without the fighting spirit of the Saiyans. He must use half of his potential Saiyan power and anger to become even stronger (when fighting Cell), becoming one of the strongest among the Z warriors. Gohan gives up responsibility to be the protector of the world and to strive to be a scientist. After many events, he realized that he had to become stronger to protect everyone and returned to training with his mentor Piccolo.
