Forty-four straight days of rain and counting. South Korea is battling floods and landslides as it endures the longest monsoon in seven years. At least 16 people have been killed, and thousands more displaced. The downpour has paralysed Seoul. More than 53,000 civil workers, police and soldiers have been dispatched as President Moon Jae-in urged "all-out efforts" to prevent further loss of life.
