multiple playheads & CV controllable motor speed - Adventures in tape

In this video I discuss the hurdles I've faced trying to make a tape delay with off the shelf tape players. I also show how I managed to get Voltage Control over the tape speed and how that circuit was made and how it works. And I end up with showing a falstad simulation of a more complex circuit that (hopefully) does what I want it to.
