I closed the gap in my front teeth at home with those clear plastic rubber bands that cost less than $5! But to keep your gap closed you need to buy a retainer. They don't need to be expensive. This is a (relatively) cheap retainer from Sporting Smiles that I got delivered from home, no need for a dentist. In this video, I demonstrate how to create the mold and I do an unboxing (unbagging) of the retainer and try them on. I mistakenly thought there was an issue with the retainer so I emailed them and their customer service was really responsive. However, I'm thinking about using Invisalign since this retainer doesn't meet my needs.
