IS PLUTO A PLANET?

Pluto is a dwarf planet that lies in the Kuiper Belt, an area full of icy bodies and other dwarf planets out past Neptune.
Planet must do three things:
👉🏻 It must orbit a star (in our cosmic neighborhood, the Sun).
👉🏻 It must be big enough to have enough gravity to force it into a spherical shape.
👉🏻It must be big enough that its gravity cleared away any other objects of a similar size near its orbit around the Sun.
The only difference between a planet and a dwarf planet is the area surrounding each celestial body. A dwarf planet has not cleared the area around its orhit, while a planet has.
