The Zebec network Canton canton network Payroll GitHub says the repository contains the codebase and project documentation for Zebec Network payroll and programmable payment dApp on the Canton network. It says the project aims to deliver a public good, production style grade streaming payroll protocol on the Canton network, natively supporting USDCx as the default stablecoin for on chain enterprise payments. It also lists the main goal as bringing Zebec network streaming payroll infrastructure to Canton network as a public utility for continuous payroll, treasury flows, and programmable payments.

The GitHub also lists features like on chain streaming payroll, role based permissions, vesting schedules, privacy preserving workflows, and integration with ZBCN card infrastructure. The status is written as in development, so this is not something we should overclaim. this is exactly the kind of infrastructure Zebec network has been talking about for years

The Zebec network and Canton network proposal says Zebec network proposes to build a public streaming payroll protocol on the Canton network, funded through the Canton network Protocol Development Fund. It says the infrastructure would be developed as a public good, reusable by the Canton network ecosystem participants, and designed for long term community ownership. The proposal also says Zebec network wants to fund the development and hosting of a live, production grade payroll and token vesting dApp on the Canton network.

The proposal even says Zebec network would run the infrastructure directly as a public utility. Audited, maintained, and available to any Canton Coin wallet from day one.

Canton network own USDCx source says USDCx is live on the Canton network and follows the CIP-56 token standard for compatibility across assets, apps, wallets, and venues while preserving privacy. It explains that USDCx is backed by USDC deposited into Circle xReserve, and that USDCx is interoperable with USDC through the Circle Gateway and CCTP.

Canton network also says USDCx uses Canton networkfull privacy model, meaning USDCx holdings and transfers are not publicly visible to uninvolved parties. If USDCx can move privately inside the Canton network, then payroll, and treasury flows become much more realistic for institutions than trying to run everyday payments on a fully public ledger for everyone to see.

Canton network private payroll announcement says that for years. Canton network says the solution demonstrated how different specialists in the Canton network ecosystem can work together to solve that problem, with Canton network providing institutional grade privacy and compliance guarantees, instant payments, minimal costs, and confidential data. It also says treasury and finance teams could reduce cross border payment costs by 60 to 80% and reduce settlement time from days to minutes. That's big for the canton network.

The proposal also says stream activity fees on the Zebec network Canton network app are collected in Canton Coin rather than ZBCN.
