En "The Story", Conan cuenta la historia de su vida antes de ser reconocido, utilizando una técnica de narración en primera persona y en tercera persona para narrarnos su infancia y lo que ha pasado durante su adolescencia, ya que no tuvo los mejores momentos, casi perdía la esperanza pero con el tiempo Conan fue luchando por su felicidad y logró cambiar su vida para algo mejor.
Según el propio Conan:
"Escribí esta canción sobre mí y la infancia de mis amigos. Hubo momentos en que crecí y pensé que la vida nunca mejoraría. Esa vida siempre sería tan dolorosa. Pero lo prometo, nunca es el final de la historia."
