‘This Is Shocking’ | Illegal Migrant Attempts To SNATCH Teen Girl Off The Streets

A harrowing incident unfolded in Swindon when Abdulmawal Ibrahim Adam, a 27-year-old man from Darfur, Sudan, attempted to abduct a 17-year-old girl as she walked home from work at night. The attack was thwarted by vigilant bus passengers who witnessed the event and intervened to assist the girl. Adam fled the scene but was later apprehended after the girl's mother reported the incident to the police.

Adam had previously pleaded guilty to entering the UK without valid entry clearance and had served a prison sentence. After his release, he refused to cooperate with the police or court proceedings in the attempted kidnapping case, causing significant delays. He was eventually convicted following a guilty plea. A sentencing hearing is scheduled for 12 December after a pre-sentence report is conducted.

The Crown Prosecution Service and police praised the public’s bravery and reaffirmed their commitment to prosecuting violence against women. The Home Office reiterated its stance on deporting foreign nationals who commit serious crimes in the UK.
