Tejas MK2 first Flight Possibilities and Preparations

As per media reports there is a possibility of LCA Mk2s maiden flight in Q2 2026 but, Q2 2026 is very tight; Q3 2026 is realistic if nothing major slips. Anything earlier would be optimistic given where things stand.

Let’s ground that in the actual program state of the HAL Tejas Mk2.

Centre fuselage composites just delivered
Prototype structures still being assembled
Engine (GE F414-INS6 Engine) integration yet to be fully validated
Full aircraft integration not complete
That means The aircraft is still in late build / early integration phase, not flight-ready stage yet
