Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS STM lens review: How good is Canon's new kit lens?

Well, how good is it? There are rumors that it might be sharper than the previous kit lens, and the new STM autofocus certainly looks pretty nice...could this be the kit lens to end all kit lenses?
