K-9 Recovers After Knife Attack
Banjer was stabbed in the face on Dec. 3 while a deputy was trying to convince a man with a knife to surrender in Rancho Santa Fe.
The Sheriff's K-9 was rushed to a veterinary hospital for treatment. He is expected to make a full recovery, but will be on light duty and training before returning to the streets to keep San Diego County safe.
