Amber Wieseth, DNP, MSN, RNC-OB
Dr. Amber Wieseth is an AWHONN Board Member, Research Scientist at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the Director for the Delivery Decisions Initiative at Ariadne Labs. In this role, she leads a research and advocacy portfolio focused on improving dignity and safety in childbirth and reducing racial and ethnic disparities. Amber has been an obstetric nurse for 20 years, specializing in maternal-child health, quality improvement, and systems innovation. Prior to joining Ariadne Labs, Amber served as Assistant Director for Maternal-Infant Health Initiatives at the Washington State Hospital Association where she led safety and quality improvement in the state’s birthing hospitals.

Amy Dagestad, MBA, MSN, RN, NE-BC, RNC-OB, FAWHONN
Amy Dagestad is the Executive Director of Inpatient Services at Mary Greenley Medical Center (MGMC). Prior to this role, she was the Director of Maternal/Child Services at MGMC for several years. She’s the AWHONN Iowa Section Chair and member of the Iowa Organization of Nurse Leaders. Amy has publications in Nursing for Women’s Health and the Journal of Obstetric, Gynecologic & Neonatal Nursing. She’s an active member of the Health Birth Day, Inc. Medical Advisory Board, Drake University Nursing Advisory Board, and the Iowa State University Nursing Program Advisory Board. Amy has had notable achievements throughout her career including being named in the top 100 great Iowa nurses, 2019 AWHONN Emerging Leaders, 2020 AWHONN Award of Excellence in Leadership recipient, and 2023 AWHONN Fellow.

Margie Mueller Boyer, MS, RNC-OB, C-EFM, C-ONQS, FAWHONN
Margie Mueller Boyer is the lead Nurse Consultant with the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative and Adjunct Nursing Faculty for Rasmussen University. She serves on Healthy Start Board as immediate past president and Board Member on the Tampa Federally Qualified Health Centers. She is a 2023 AWHONN Fellow. Margie began her nursing career earning her BSN and MS from The Ohio State University where she worked for a decade. She then spent one year as a traveling labor and delivery nurse before moving to University Community Hospital as Perinatal CNS. She led there for 15 years as Admin Director for Women’s & Children’s and 5 years as Patient Safety Officer.

Nancy Travis, MS, RN, CPN, C-ONQS, FAWHONN
Nancy Travis is an Executive Nurse Consultant with the Florida Perinatal Quality Collaborative and a Not On My Watch Consulting Partner. She’s also the 2024 recipient of the AWHONN Award of Excellence in Leadership and the immediate past AWHONN Florida Section Chair. She serves as the Florida co-lead for the AWHONN Alliance for Innovation in Maternal Health Nurse Leaders and Legislative Coordinator and is the Chair for the AWHONN Public Policy Committee. Nancy has over 40 years of maternal child nursing experience and has worked extensively with nursing staff in developing and implementing evidence-based practices. She was inducted into the inaugural group of AWHONN Fellows in 2023. Nancy has received recognition as a Mother Friendly Nurse from the Coalition for Improving Maternity Services and a Golden Baby Shoe from Healthy Start of SW Florida.

Cheryl Parker, DNP, CRNA, RNC-OB, FAWHONN, FAANA
Dr. Cheryl Parker is an independently practicing obstetric anesthetist and the Director of the Nurse Anesthesia Program at University of Louisville, in Kentucky. She’s been practicing for 30 years. She spent 10 years as a staff nurse, working in Postpartum, L&D, and NICU. Followed by 16 years as a CRNA with practice focus in Obstetrics. Cheryl is a member of the AANA, KyANA, SOAP, KyPQC, and a long-standing member of AWHONN, where she’s the Kentucky State Chair, and has served on the Scientific Writing Team and the Public Policy Committee. In 2020, Dr. Parker was instrumental in the submission and acceptance of legislation to establish January 23 as Women’s Health Awareness Day and making Kentucky the 5th state in the nation to inaugurate a MHA resolution. Cheryl previously published an AWHONN Practice Brief and Podcast episode entitled Lower Extremity Nerve Injury in Childbirth.
