Sound of Raw Diesel Power: Loud Locos Working HARD!

There aren't many things that sound quite as awesome, as big American diesel locomotives working at full power. In this vid, we take a look at some shots I've filmed over the years, that capture the true sound of American locos working hard. And no, the engines these beasts use won't fit in your Civic. (Athough one of the pistons might). So sit back and enjoy. There is even a clip of a vintage GP9 locomotive getting some good thrash at the end! Please rate and comment, thanx! :-)

Here's a question for you: Do you prefer the bassy 4 stroke chug of GE locomotives, or the harmonic 2 stroke roar of EMDs? I'm partial to EMD myself.
