Iggy and The Stooges at Max's Kansas City (New York, 1973)

July, 1973,
The Stooges play four shows at Max's Kansas City (New York).
Lenny Kaye, who would later become a member of the Patti Smith Group, was writing for Rock Scene magazine at the time.
He tells all about the Stooges' shows at Max's, including Iggy Pop cutting himself badly with broken glass while on stage, and their adventures in New York with bands like Mott The Hoople.
Lou Reed, Alice Cooper, members of the New York Dolls, Todd Rundgren and Danny Fields, among many others, were in attendance.

Enjoy!
