Ep. 43: My Wild Deer Friends! And....Casper! Jan Feb 2021

Our winters can really change up from year to year. This January was mild compared to other winters, with little snow and temps around freezing or above. February came in and hit us hard with over two weeks of very cold, frigid weather before we got some milder days and some melting. My deer friends are all doing great and come to see me in the early morning and before dark each day. I would have to guess that they are as anxious for springtime to get here as me!

These are all very wild deer that have come to trust me in a very unique way. They stop in for a quick visit and snack, then back out into the wild to live their normal lives. I feel very blessed that they have come to trust me in this way, and take great care to make sure they don't come to rely on me as their primary food source.
