You’ll learn how to graph a dilation in this video or a figure that is similar to another but reduced in size. Dilations can also be larger in size to another figure, but they are always the same shape. When creating dilations, you plot points on the 2-D coordinate plane but reduce or enlarge the size of the figure by using a fraction to create the dilation. This video walks you through the steps to graph a dilation as part of a geometric transformation.
