Sinopsis RO:
Monografie filmică bazată pe tradiţia filmelor prestigioasei Şcoli Gusti din anii 1930, Zina aduce o viziune asupra culturii păstoritului, cu ritualurile ancestrale, târgurile de altădată, nedeile păcurarilor, fluierul şi cântatul de dungă, legendele despre lumi de demult, dar şi legăturile permanente cu românii de dincolo de munţi, prin practicarea păstoritul transhumant. Un film despre viaţa de ieri şi de azi a comunităţii unui sat cu o extraordinară vitalitate, care a fost vatră şi loc de obârşie pentru multe aşezări de pe versantul sudic al Munţilor Carpaţi. În film se mai vorbeşte despre istoria acestui sat, cu material inedit din perioada secolului 18, când satul era sediu important grăniceresc în Imperiul Habsburgic.

The film tells the story of this extraordinary village and of its people in spectacular visual images, which introduce the viewer into the culture of the mountain, and into the realm of wild nature, still unspoiled by modern civilization. The film follows the tradition of the documentaries made in Romania in the 1930s by researchers studying the traditional rural life, under the coordination of the famous sociologist Dimitrie Gusti. The film reveals historical facts, and talks about myths and legends. It shows ancient rituals, and feasts of the present time. It introduces to the viewer a strong and proud community, keepers of an extraordinary cultural heritage.
