I recently visited the Grand Canyon with my wife and friends. I decided, with the little time we had available, to drop into the canyon via Bright Angel Trail and turnaround at Indian Gardens. One the way back out, I encountered a pretty brutal storm with rain, hail, lightening & thunder. Managing to make it out unscathed, I learned a valuable lesson - always prepare when entering the Canyon and always expect the unexpected!
