NSW hits another record high in coronavirus case numbers during 2021 pandemic | 7NEWS

The Premier is insisting that there is light at the end of the 'COVID Tunnel' with a Pfizer vaccination blitz beginning for young adults, but NSW has hit another record high in case numbers.

There were 681 cases recorded today. The death toll is now 61, a man in his 80s the latest casualty.

Despite the Premier's optimism, a leading immunologist says at best Sydney will be locked down until Christmas.
