Madleen Kane aka Madeleine Flerkell. Swedish disco singer and model, born 4 March 1958 in Malmö.
She debuted as a photo model for Ford Models in New York. In 1978 she got a record deal with producer Jean-Claude Friederich and released the debut single Rough diamond, which became a world hit. In 1980, Cherchez pas became number 18 on the Swedish top list. In 1981 she collaborated with Giorgio Moroder, resulting in hits such as You can and Playing for time.

Madleen has released a biography of her life. The book is based on her childhood to the jet set life she lived during her time as an artist and model. Madleen describes in great detail about her marriage, alcoholism, sexual abuse and family.
