Aquasana Rhino Water Filtration System on Rain Water Collection for our Off-Grid Homestead Build
Hopefully the final step in our 5000 Gallon Rain Water Collection set up is the Aquasana Rhino Water Filtration System. I called Aquasana and this system was suggested to me since it is used a lot in rural areas for homes on a well and on Rain Water Collection which is perfect for our Off-Grid Homestead Build. It has a Pre-Filter, Carbon Filter, Water Conditioner, Post-Filter, and UV Light Filter. On top of that we'll have the Leaf Guards and a Sediment Filter for a total of 7 filters through the system.
I also signed up to automatically receive new filters to be delivered per the system specifications. This way I don't have to think about it. When the filter is delivered I know it's time to replace them.
The Pr-Filter is changed every 2 months, the Post-Filter every 6 months, the UV Light needs replaced every year, and the Carbon Filter and Water Conditioner is every 5 years. I'm also going to order a water test kit to do every 6 months or so just to be sure.
