Only about half of the students in California’s public school systems can read English at their grade level, and only 40 percent can do math at their grade level. My guest Rebecca Friedrichs, who has over 20 years of experience in the school system, shares how special interests have a much bigger impact in our school system than we think. For the most part, she says, these special interests are not aligned with the education of our kids.
