Front-Of-Pack Nutrition Labelling [Austrian Economics Monthly]

As part of the Farm to Fork Strategy, the European Commission has decided that, by the final quarter of 2022, it will present its proposal for a harmonised front-of-pack nutrition labelling system, which will be mandatory across all EU countries. The aim is to encourage consumers to shift to healthier and more sustainable diets.

Speakers:

Katherina Keimelmayr has been Head of Corporate Communications & Public Affairs at Nestlé Austria since June 2020. Her professional career has already taken her to various stations along the food chain: as a communications consultant for the agricultural industry in Brussels, policy advisor for environmental and labeling issues for the food trade and agricultural trade sectors, and also as a brand manager for leading FMCG companies in Austria. She is a qualified business economist and holds a Master’s degree in European Politics from the London School of Economics.
